About Dr. Culligan

Surgical Volume:

In 2005 (the first year since the founding of this division), we performed the following number of cases strictly for pelvic organ prolapse or urinary incontinence:  This year included a significant “ramp-up” period.

93 Suburethral Slings
         20 Trans-obturator
         73 Retropubic

106 Operations to correct pelvic organ prolapse:

14 Laparoscopic sacral colpopexies (either with or without robotic assistance)
20 Abdominal procedures
72 Vaginal procedures

In 2006, there was a significant increase in surgical volume as expected:

123   Suburethral Slings

            55   Trans-Obturator
            68   Retropubic

174   Operations to correct Pelvic Organ Prolapse
23   “straight stick” laparoscopic sacral colpopexies
20   Robotic Assisted laparoscopic sacral colpopexies
120   Vaginal prolapse repairs (various techniques)
            11   Abdominal procedures

WE ANTICIPATE CONTINUED GROWTH IN SURGICAL VOLUME ESPECIALLY WITH THE ADDITION OF ANOTHER ATTENDING UROGYNECOLOGIST IN 2007.
